Dispersion

A dispersion is basically a mixture of substances consisting of at least two phases. One substance is dispersed in the finest form in another.

Dispersions are divided into molecular disperse systems (<1nm), colloidal disperse systems (1nm to 1µm) and coarse disperse systems (>1µm). A very nice example of a colloidally disperse system is the Lycurgus cup.

KRAEMER mainly produces molecular dispersed systems, which are used in flame retardants but also for many other applications.
