More information

KRAEMER offers you a variety of binders for different printing processes. Our resins enable precise fine-tuning to the respective application and process requirements of your products. Other properties, such as excellent pigment wetting, short dispersal times and efficient rehology control make our binders the perfect components for your printing inks.

Offset

Nowadays, offset printing is used as a well-established standard printing process for high-volume applications such as newspaper, advertising and book printing. In addition to packaging printing inks, this process has also established itself in special applications such as security and metal effect printing or in UV-curing applications. Exploit our strengths for this in particular and let’s select a resin for your specific requirement together.

Flexo / Gravure printing

In addition to flexographic printing as a common printing process in the packaging sector, gravure printing has also played an important role since the drastic decrease in catalogue circulation. So far, in addition to the necessary performance, the focus for new applications has been on efficiency and, for packaging printing, compliance with food standards. But developers don’t regard sustainability and resource conservation as empty words any more. In addition to topics such as deinking, binding agents based on renewable raw materials are used and multi-layer systems are critically scrutinised. These are to be replaced by high-performance barrier coatings.  We look forward to being at your side for these and other challenges.

Screen and pad printing

Screen and pad printing inks can be found in many areas of everyday life. They can be applied very flexibly to different substrates and shapes with variable layer thicknesses, which makes them reliable all-rounders in almost all sectors. Our resin products for these applications are precisely as versatile, and we will gladly introduce them to you.

Inkjet and digital printing

Modern areas of application that require high flexibility as well as speed insist on inkjet printing inks for marking. Digital printing technology for full-area printing applications has also advanced in recent years. Allow yourself to be persuaded by our resins for solvent-containing, aqueous and UV-curing applications.

Security printing

High-quality printing inks and security features for example banknotes and certificates meet the highest quality and durability requirements, because not only do they have to be forgery-proof, but also suitable for everyday use. Make use of our strong resins, and for us discretion is a matter of course!

Metal Decoration

End products such as tin cans, metal tubes, crown caps or twist-off lids, which are printed using sheetfed offset or molded body printing, are part of everyday life. Followed by high flexibility, good adhesion and low yellowing, in first place is high resistance, especially to the filling. In addition to adhesive and wetting resins, polyesters with different functionalities, the new low-yellowing and low-odour alkyd resin Rokralux SD 6680 cannot be left out of consideration for high-quality applications.

Sealing and overprint varnishes

As so-called print finishing, overprint varnishes are used for protection against mechanical and chemical influences, yet they also have decorative properties and are even sealable at best. The requirement profile for sealing wax should also not be underestimated. In addition to excellent and variable sealing properties, nowadays overprint varnishes have to impress with their reliable final strength and good filling protection. In addition, the varnishes generally have to dry quickly and must not block stuff. Nowadays, water-based formulations, followed by solvent-based and UV-curing formulations, dominate the market. Kraemer’s range of main binders and adhesive resins for different substrates will complete the property range of your coating.
