REACH

REACH stands for "Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals". The REACH regulation is a regulation of the European Union entered into force on June 1, 2007. It is valid throughout Europe and also applies to imports of chemicals into the EU.

Basically, REACH is a database to ensure that only registered substances are within the EU. When a substance is placed on the market in the EU, the company is required to identify and manage all risks associated with the substance. It must be demonstrated and described how the registered substances can be used safely. In addition, there is risk management information for users.

All in all, REACH is intended to increase the safety of all those involved - from the manufacturer to the user.

The regulation specifies, among other things, alternative methods for hazard assessment, evaluation, approval and communication of data within the supply chain.

Since REACH applies to all chemical substances - i.e. not only to chemical raw materials, but also to all industrial and everyday substances such as cleaning agents, clothing, furniture, electrical appliances and paints and varnishes - the regulation naturally also applies to Robert KRAEMER GmbH & Co. KG. A responsibility that we are happy to accept.

The Robert Kraemer GmbH & Co. KG only uses REACH compliant substances for its products after the successful pre-registration. The various binders (resinates, maleic resins, resin esters, polyesters, polyurethanes, alkyd resins, modified rosin, modified epoxy resins, phenolic resins and ketone resins) were also subject to pre-registration in accordance with the REACH Regulation (1907/2006/EC).

Robert Kraemer GmbH & Co. KG submits to the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) the documents required and necessary for registration in the course of REACH. In doing so, Robert Kraemer GmbH & Co. KG closely cooperates with its customers, among others with the industry for printing inks, lacquers and adhesives, in order to cover the required intended use and to carry out a correct REACH registration.
