Phenol-modified rosin resins

The reaction of rosin and its derivatives with phenolic resins produces binders that are mainly used in printing inks and coatings. Modifications with high mineral oil tolerance and high tack are used in offset printing inks.
They improve gloss, resistance and hardness, which is why they are also used in oil boils, alkyd resin coatings and in special applications such as value inks.
Bremapal resins also exhibit particularly good (pigment) wetting and can be partially dissolved in water after neutralization.
